                                                    Harris Hall Dates:

                                     Monday, May 11th and Thursday, May 14th

Harris Hall is an after-school opportunity for any student who has missing assignments. It is from 3:00-4:15, and the student must remain the entire time. The student may only make up two assignments per meeting and must know the assignments once Harris Hall has begun. The student must have written parent permission from a parent/guardian, without it, the child will not be allowed to stay.

This is the ONLY time a student will be allowed to make up work that is not the result of an absence. Please pick up your child promptly at 4:15, or you may run the risk of your child being unsupervised.

                               A few of my favorite quotes:

The only place you find success before work is in the dictionary.

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

Have no friends not equal to yourself.

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

We must learn to live together as brothers, or perish together as fools.

Task

  1. -If a task is once begun, never leave it until it’s done. Be the labor great or small, do it well, or not at all.

Excuses

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses! Excuses are tools of incompetence, built upon monuments of nothingness. Those who specialize in excuses, seldom amount to anything else, but excuses.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As everyone of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out;

Don't give up, though the pace seems slow -

You might succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than

It seems to a faint and faltering man,

Often the struggler has given up

When he might have captured the victor's cup.

And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,

How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out -

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt -

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems afar;

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -

It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.
